Annual resource allocation recommendations based on evaluation of all available resources and funding requests via the Exceptional Funding Request (EFR) process are made by the president-appointed University Budget Committee (UBC). Similarly, the Facilities Budget Committee (FBC)–a companion committee to the UBC–develops recommendations regarding priority funding for capital projects.
Co-sponsored by the university’s Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs and Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, the mission of these committees is to develop resource allocation recommendations that transform strategic goals into achievable operating plans and optimize use of university resources.
