Budget Model Redesign Initiative

UCF’s current budget process was built in a different era. Our process allocates funding based on the previous year’s budget, plus or minus a percentage. This approach is predictable, but it also makes it difficult to adapt to changing circumstances or fund strategic priorities.

We are pleased to announce that UCF is moving forward with an important initiative: developing a collaborative, transparent and inclusive budget allocation model. This project will help UCF proactively respond to recent challenges in higher education and achieve our goal of becoming a model for higher education in the 21st century.
